    Hey everyone

Anyone on here tried www.openhr.co.za before? Most of the features are free which they say you can add as many companies, users and employees as you want. Havent been told to stop yet. Received an update last week they are planning some paid features. But you already have things like loans, leave, permits which i havent tried yet, payslips, expense claims and employee warnings. They have all the reports you need and auto submission of uif to labour, download irp5 file, emp201s, year to date, loan repayments and something i havent seen before a clothing report with staff clothing and shoe sizes This is all for free. Dont know what the paid option would be.

Its also fast when i use it for about 10 staff. You can also print things like confirmations of employment and even a manual ui19

They only have a whatsapp number and email, but they are quick to help on both

So, I had an issue where I wanted a field where employees can sign their payslips and I contacted openHR about how to do this. They first recommend I make an additional leave with everything as 0 named "Employee Signature" and marking it as print on payslip.

Before I could even try this they emailed me later the day saying they added a feature for "payslip messages" where I can add a note to print on default on every payslip with the required signature field!

Why can't all payroll companies have support like this?!

I've suffered for years doing payroll on the so called "best" online payroll software and sometimes they don't even respond to email support requests. When you phone they say you must email and then don't respond! Then comes this company and offers online payroll for free!

Just got another email from openHR about two new features. One I think isn't really a feature, more of an update. Payslip messages. The other is more of a big deal, Employee Reviews. This will help to motivate employees without appearing to target them. If I sometime mention something to someone they feel offended, with this it will help. Its free too which is great. Hopefully they don't offer everything free and then one day I wake up and they want to charge...
