As an electrical contractor ... are staff members who work their way up the skills level ... issued with some form of identification to identify their ability when they are working on site under supervision or left on site as in the case with many sites ?

Is it a requirement for all personal who have any form of qualification to carry their identification with them at all times ?

Has I just rattled a wasp nest ?

This would be a good start to cleaning up the industry and not only the electrical industry ... but all industries ... including "technicians".

Labour rates are dependant on the skill level ... so if a labourer is left on site and you only charging R600 ... that would sound like a few rate to be charging customers ?

However if a master electrician is on site on a domestic site ... you cant really charge R1500 per hour because a qualified electrician could do the job at a lower rate ... so there would be a limit of around R800 per hour ... unless you want he job done to a high standard.
