Hi
So I have a question? Is it not true that people are allowed to represent themselves in court? And as such can they not draft their won pleadings etc?

Yes, you most definately can represent yourself in both the civil court and the criminal court. This however does not mean that the plaintiff won't file a notice of exception wherer any of your pleadings or such other documents do not comply with laid down precedents(blueprints).
The magistrate or judgment will however be lenient to you from a procedural perspective.

This is true peoples can represent themselves in the court but the things you know how to present your case into the court, so its better a lawyer present your case into the court.
A well know expression is that a person who represents themselves in court has a fool for a client.
Hassle is you can lose on a technicality by not doing something "right".
