    [Article] Gupta Leaks

    Trying to read the shenanigans make me cross/sick/despair all at once

    In our first exposé from the #GuptaLeaks, we show how the president’s friends and their associates are diverting billions of rand from Transnet’s purchase of locomotives to their offshore accounts. By AMABHUNGANE and SCORPIO.

    In a scheme so audacious and lucrative that it puts the notorious arms deal to shame, they:

    Entered kickback agreements totalling R5.3-billion with the Chinese manufacturer that became Transnet’s favourite locomotive supplier;
    Influenced procurement processes through their associates at Transnet;
    Are pocketing R10-million from each R50-million locomotive that Transnet is buying.
    This story presents the most direct evidence yet of the Guptas and their associates amassing fortunes offshore by tolling contracts at state-owned entities they control.
    The rest of the article

    Is there hope for the country after reading this we need some one with big cojones to step in and sort this out.
    What sickens me even further is how did the ANC let this get this far there are so many principled people in the ANC surely they can't see this as acceptable?
    All this does is lead me to say stuff the law.

    The Gupta’s citizenship should be revoked. There are now criminal charges against them. The relevant authorities must ensure that this family don’t flee the country before NDPP prosecutes them.

      The problem is that "President Gupta" and his henchmen in his mafia-like organisation is protecting them because they are all on the payroll.

      I have always said that I do not trust politicians. The people should rule. Always vote for the opposition. Never vote to put someone in power. Power corrupts. Vote to put them out of power! When the next party wins, vote them out of power too. That way we can keep a balance and keep politicians on their toes.

      The country and its people comes first, not the party.

        From the reports it looks like the cash is out the country and my take is the Guptas will leave as soon as they see time is up. They won't care about the havoc they wreaking in SA, and neither does the President.
        This is just so depressing.

            Looks like there is lots to come 100 000 to 200 000 emails!
            But still the ANC supports this President! He is making SA really look like .....

            Malema still worries me as it looks like he has less morals and principles than JZ.
