A country run by IDIOTS - Minister slams 'Afrikaner men'

AfriForum on Tuesday said it was considering bringing a complaint of discrimination before the Equality Court against the Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Lulu Xingwana.

Xingwana reportedly said that young Afrikaners and their Calvinistic faith were to blame for violence against women and children in South Africa.

Xingwana made the remarks to Australian news channel ABC News.

"Young Afrikaner men are brought up in the Calvinist religion believing that they own a woman, they own a child, they own everything and therefore they can take that life because they own it," she said.

This is just that sickening racial rhetoric of the Whites this, the Blacks that, The Indians this, the Coloureds that that I despise so very much.

Instead of focusing on Oscar himself, our Minister takes it a step further and implicates an entire racial group.
Oscar Pistorious is now in the public interest, nothing wrong with highlighting gun violence but to also discriminate against race, religion and gender is unacceptable for an individual holding the position of Minister.

This is our problem right here in SA: Sweeping generalizations! Focus on what the individual in question is alleged to have done but leave his race and religion out of the matter.

She must be referring to the afrikaner coloured community from the Cape.

Such an outrageous statement by our Minister staggers me! One would actually understant if a juniour intern on a learnership said something like that. You then write it off as inexperience, it's a junior intern, straight out of matric. You then set the person in the right direction but when the Minister makes such a statement, you just get staggered!
I don't even thing Oscar follws Calvinism(bearing in mind that even in Calvinism there are many splinter groups with different perspectives. As far as I'm aware Ocsar Pretorious is a baptist or a member of an evangelical church.

I like the part where she mentions, he should get rid of all his guns, maybe if the goverment and it ministers made SA a safe place to live we wouldnt need guns, vicous dogs and cages to live in. We also woulnt need to spend million of rands on zumas dwelling.

It is true, we live in Africa, no sissies please, but the minister did apologize, in Africa it is better to apologize than ask permission.
In minister Susan's case better to apologize rather than think before you put your foot in your mouth.

I doubt if this lady has ever met an Afrikaner. What makes her such an expert? There are no statistics to support this statement. This is nothing but racism.

It is sad that in Madiba's "rainbow nation" the ruling party (emphasis on party - read jol) is more racist than any previous government that we have ever had. Why can we not just be South Africans and work towards a better South Africa and a better future for our children? This is not what people have struggled for and voted for.

Did anyone actually hear her pathetic dribble called an apology?
She said that her statement was taken out of context, and that she was talking about religion.

WTF and these are the elected officials to represent us?
In any other country she would have already been history.

The Ozzies must be thinking, and this lot still manages to thump us in rugby and cricket.

So did she discriminate against the Calvinists then? Her apology means nothing. What she should do is resign as she is not competent to do her job. No wonder the youth are in revolt with "leaders" like this. Leader my ar$e! She's not even a good follower.
If she was, she would not have embarrassed her country like this.
