Beuatiful people doing beautiful art beautifully....

I'm still learning about ISO, aperture and shutter speed.. It's kinda difficult to take action photographs in low light conditions when you are not allowed to use a flash. Too high an ISO and shutter speed and the photographs become grainy, to low a shutter speed and ISO and the photographs are blurry...

Now to learn to find the happy medium... It will take a couple of Saturday mornings at the rink with the girls...

Interclub ice skating competition held in Cape Town yesterday and today.

I have so many beautiful photographs to choose from...

Those kids are so dedicated, the girl in black and red fell last year on the ice and broke her leg in two places. She was off ice for 9 months. She has been back for a couple of moths and is doing her spins and stuff. Some of them practice 5 - 7 times a week. Man, do they full hard...but the get up and carry on... There is one thing that I will say for the sport and sport in general, it sure teaches dedication and build character.

Smart! I’ve always had a profound appreciation for individuals who can ice skate and ski

The nice thing about figure skating is that it lies somewhere between gymnastics and dance.

                  Adrian, nice photos
Kids must always partake in competitive sports of all kinds, I think. Learning some of life’s biggest lessons they are. I see many kids now are either fixed to their cell phone, computer or Xbox. Its nice to see your little guys getting out there and doing something interesting and cool.

They've done gymnastics, life saving, horse riding and figure skating all the while. The little one is still horse riding besotted. This is the nice part of running your own business. My wife and I work together so we are able to cart the girls wherever they need to go. Ice skating on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Horse riding on Wednesday, sometimes on Saturday and Sunday. We went to a play at my eldest's high school on Friday evening, ice skating on both Saturday and Sunday morning. Our view is that it is way more important to spend the time with the kids supporting them in their endeavours than being out there making money and then wishing years later that we spent the time with them. We even help with the homework, my wife is teaching the eldest algebra and I am helping her with an art project....

...but there is a dark cloud hanging over the weekend's skating championships...some a$$hole stole my eldest daughter's Blackberry 5320 cell phone. The poor girl is totally distraught and says she feels naked without it. I'm looking to buy her a second hand one...

Indeed, you need to be extremely fit and in good shape

Take a look at my newly created Facebook page to get an idea of what we do. There is still lots more that needs to be added but I think I've done ok for 1 day.

I must admit that I have 2 toys that I'm yet to master; white metal spin casting and pad printing. I think it best to get those 2 down to a fine art and then only think about a 3D printer...

...but if money and space were no object I would love to have a 6 axis CNC mill, CNC plasma cutter, large CNC router, wide bed sublimation printer and of course a couple of different 3D printers.
