My youngest daughter is going to Scotland to take part in an ice skating competition

My youngest, Michaela, is leaving for Dumfries, Scotland on Monday to take part in an an International ice skating competition. She forms part of Team Silhouette (Western Province Syncro Skating)

We had to raise R30,000 to send her and Tracy, my wife. Tracy is the treasurer/admin person/organizer/baby sitter/you name it, she does it for ice skating... Tracy and her friend Carol organized a number of fundraising events which brought in some money and we all went round with begging bowls in hand :-)

...its all worth it in the end, Michaela will do us and South Africa proud and she will remember this event for the rest of her life.

Congratulations to Michaela and well done to yourself and your missus for making it happen for her. I hope she and the team do well but I hope more she enjoys the tour, I'm sure it will be something she'll remember for the rest of her days.
