Truth is, wealth is what you value most. For me it is time for others it can be anything. There is no right or wrong here.

For some time is just “what the hell are you on about” but trust me it is not so abundant as you may think.

It is very simple. I can buy other people's time and in so doing free up my own time. I used to spend 6 hours a day doing a particular task, I hired a new guy. He now spends 6 hours a day doing that task. As long as he makes more than he costs then my time is free'd up. If I can find enough work, machines and people to do the work and skim lots of money off the top then I BUY TIME. I pay them to give me the freedom to do what I want to. If they want to spend their time to make me wealthy then that is their choice.

tec0 - lateral thinking not only extends into 3 dimensional space, it also extends into the 4th dimension which is time...and also various other dimensions. When I employ 5 people to do what I do, I not only think in physical space (ie multipication) but also in quantum space because my productivity now occupies 5 parallel universes and those 5 universes are then tied together via quantum entanglement.

Agreed, you grasp the concept better then what I can. After all your successes well worth the read. I cannot explain my reasoning as well as you can. I lack the vocabulary and insight to do so properly, thus I think it best to withdraw from this thread.

tec0 - Let me tell you how I spend my time day in and day out. I start at 8am and generally end at 11pm. From 11pm-1-2am I watch documentaries on Youtube or I read. I've been watching a series of documentaries on topics as diverse as Quantum physics, Spirituality, Archeology, Religion and many many others. I get to sleep and dream vividly about all sorts of things. My entire life is spent either working, thinking about work, dreaming about work or learning about the diverse world around me. I do this because I love doing it, not because my boss tells me to or because I have to. I do it because it is my way of life. Even though I want to have lots of wealth that wealth will simply go towards the kids education, a better life for them, a better life for everybody I care about and then then to give me time to go forth and visit those wonderful places in those documentaries. I said this before, it is not about money per se, it is about the freedom to do as I choose. Look, we all see the world through our own eyes, when I look in the mirror I see a a total d00$ stuck in the mud with a noose around my neck. The noose is called the inability to create enough wealth to have even a little wiggle room....but...I am the d00$ and it is for me to figure out how to get rid of the damn noose. What I am saying to you is this; the only person that can remove the noose is me, nobody else, not the government, not my boss, nobody.

Money is a tool, it is a tool to provide freedom - nothing more and nothing less. In this vein, money is like electricity - it is not useful on its own, it needs to be applied to make something happen.

I am not being flippant when I say that one can buy time. Once we figure out that our own time is more valuable than those around us then we are able to purchase our own time by paying them a salary.

tec0 - its not a competition, it is a discussion, forget about they way I see the world, it is simply my view through my own eyes. My views don't make your views wrong, right, better or worse, my views are just that, my views. Express your views in a way that you see fit, but whatver you do, never stop thowing ideas around.

Being broke on the other hand is just a temporary inconvenience.

I wish the temporary inconvenience didn't feel so permanent.

What I am thinking right now is irrelevant. Truth is, it is very difficult to enter overpopulated markets and remain competitive. I believe you might experience a lot of competition yourself. As for what I value and why is my choice.

I am however really happy to see that family values are of high priority.

This is so true! There is a corrolation between a strong healthy body and mind. The maintaining aspect is not appealing though, you require a disciplined routine of at least 3 x 1 hour exercise sessions e.e. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You also need to eat qulaity food as opposed to junk food. Sugar intake should be at a bare minumum. High protein, low carb.
On a petty scale, the problem with wealth is that we all can't have it! To be even more petty, we all don't get to eat equally of that sheep or chicken tonight!. Some of us will have the highest quality choice meat portions of that sheep, while others will have to settle for the head, eyes, trotters and if a chicken , the head, feet, and skin. We need to eradicate poverty in SA, we need to give people decent housing, we use nice terms such as 'informal settlement,' yet the truth is that we have human beings living in shacks!
