Not sure who or what vvm is. Has nobody send you any invoices, letter of demand or similar?
I suppose tell SABC and/or vvm that you do not have a TV since xyz.
It's never been easier to check your balance.

    Rather ask them, not us.

Get an affidavit prepared that states that the TV was stolen and that you are no longer liable for the liscence fee. Fax to the SABC.

The SABC has a very specific affidavit for this purpose. It's a specially drafted affidavit by the SABC itself, you need to contact the SABC and ask them to fax or email you this specific affidavit.

The SABC can suck my sweaty nut sack. If they want my money they can come and get it. I don't watch their rubbish...YouTube & Torrents rule.

Why would the SABC require a 'special' affidavit? Wouldn't a standard affidavit meet the legal requirements regardless?

Thank you all for your ideas. I'll contact SABC for that affidavit and see what happens.

I just check my cancellation affidavit from 2008, it was a SAPS affidavit, and we faxed it to the SABC cancellations department on the following fax number 0113309561. They stopped bothering us about the TV licence after that.
