Anyone have any experience with lithium batteries connected to 24 VDC RCT or Mecer voltronic inverters.
We have the option of:
2 x 12 VDC 100 amp/hr, which would give you 200 amp/hr instead of 100 amp/hr like the 24 VDC packs.
1 x Dyness 24 VDC lithium pack 100 amp/hr.
1 x Must 24 VDC lithium pack 100 amp/hr
Which are compatible with voltronic inverters and solar assistant.
Currently I have 2 x 12 VDC gel batteries connected using solar assistant for remote view and adjusting settings, replacement cost around R5000, do I just replace every 3 years (average life span) or can we justify R10 000 for a 24 VDC 100 amp/hr that is half the capacity but can be discharged to 80% DOD compared to the gels at around 50 % DOD.
Some would say the charge rate is much better for lithium, that would only be considered if the mecer inverter could charge at a higher rate.
