Tx, I had a quick look, still can't find what I'm looking for. Quite some time ago we were subscribed "somewhere" (there's fees and all to be paid) there you could put in a person's name and it shows all companies and CCs that he is part of. If you had the ID also you get the exact info for the guy not just all companies where John Smith is the name of a partner or member.

That sounds like it might have been CIPRO.
I think the credit agencies also do that sort of thing. It's called a directors' (or members) search I think. They use it for a deeper than usual check for credit worthiness for companies.
