Pastel Partner 50 cant login with any user after running year end

    Good day everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has come across this issue, or know how to fix this.

We just ran our year end and moved over, any now we cannot login with any user account to pastel any more.

All users are just saying wrong password, and if you try and reset the password for the user, pastel just hangs and closes.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Jaco

    Update:

I have been able to reset one users account via the reset password option. But when logging in with user, the users and password option in the menu is greyed out.

I am now running rebuild.exe and hoping for the best after that.

    Good morning Neville,

    Hope you are well.

We managed to get one admin users details reset and with that user we were able to reset all other users password and get everyone logged in again.

The problem we are facing now is that when we ran a Trail Balance account, allot of data is missing from the report. Pastel support then asked that we run a Audit trail report, we ran that and there is also data missing from that report, so its not a question of data sitting in the wrong period.

If I run the integrity Check, the Verify History Files keep on saying there is corruptions and it was fixed, but if I run it again, it says there are corrupted data again. This is the same for Verify the Data only in the Integrity check.

We have been waiting for two day now for pastel support to send us the link to submit the company for a corruption fix, and we are at our wits end on what to do.

    Hi Jaco,

It sounds like something went south while the year-end process was in progress.

My suggestion is to re-do the year-end process - hopefully you do have a backup that was made immediately prior to the year-end?
