UIF audit _ going back to 2011!

    Hallo all,

I work at an accounting firm, and we have a case where Dept of Labour say that do not have any records of UI19 submissions on their systems for one of our clients.
Yet, we submit the monthly UI19 via our payroll software electronically and receive an email confirmation that it has been successfully submitted to DoL.
We do not have time to monthly repeat this process by submitting it to U-filing as well.
Has anybody had a successful interaction with DoL officials whereas they accepted the payroll files or anything else that can help us?
Can DoL backdate an audit to 2011? Only for UI19 declarations. The funds were paid via e-filing to SARS and the UIF and PAYE numbers are linked. They are not questioning the payments at all.

    Thanks.

Have you checked Ufiling to see if those submitted returns have been pre-populated in the Ufiling system?
