This is going to get interesting, because there is one company supplying cabinets for outdoors, with an inverter, and one of those fire balls, but I am not aware of a fire rating for their cabinets, they are not mobile and stackable.

I have been looking at the IP 65 lithium batteries that we install and trying to figure out why they would be a fire risk, honestly, I dont know why.

They are IP 65 rated, sealed in a metal enclosure, yes I know you going to say IP 65 is not a fire rating, however, I dont see how the fire can get out of the metal casing, there are no open air vents like the other batteries.

By way the Dc control/combiner box is more of a risk for fire than a lithium battery, if anything should be installed outside, it would be these home made boxes, considering they are the highest risk of a fire in the house, they should be metal enclosures. Having the box mounted outside would make it easier for the fireman to isolate.
