A DC control" box is NOT a combiner box.

If you have 2 inputs and 2 outputs, then it is a control box (call it whatever you want, but not a DC combiner box) which requires an isolator which disconnects all the power.

A combiner box is a box which has multiple strings into the box and one set of cables out the box, with an isolator which disconnects all the strings at the same time.

These home made DC control boxes are dangerous and should either be fitted with a multi pole isolator which disconnects all the strings at the same time, like the isolator on the side of the inverter or have some form of separation, or be in a completely separate box.

Surely if you switch off one isolator and everything is still live, the top and the bottom of all the isolators, you should be concerned.
