The company I got to do the gas compliance inspection would not issue a COC because the switch needs to be at least 22cm away from the top of the gas hob (horizontally), but there is nowhere else on the wall where this switch can go. Is this a true regulation? I've lived in this house for 7 years with this stove in this position and never had any issues and had a gas company install the stove and they never advised me of this. Is this a new regulation??
