Good morning, everyone.

I've truly shot myself in the foot by submitting the wrong payroll info with an Return of Earnings submission. Now I have to do battle to get it corrected.

Does anyone have experience with the process? My thought is to approach it like an audit and throw all the documentation I can get at them.

I, too, have a holed foot. I registered an NPC for one year earlier than I should have done and earned an assessment for my troubles.

To correct matters you have to submit an affidavit sworn by a director or similarly senior functionary explaining the problem and attaching the correct payroll info. Make sure the affidavit contains all the relevant information, like the CF registration number - I was told the processing staff look at the affidavit first and then the other supporting docs.

You'll need to complete a form CF-2B (Application for Revision of the Assessment) as well.

Email the lot to cfcallcentre@labour.gov.za. I was assured the response would be sent within 16 days. Yeah, right...
