    Easyfile Problem

    Good day,

Please can someone assist - easyfile is not pulling across the figures from my imported payroll file and is showing zero total liability and zero under total certificates value.
My imported payroll file passed with validations. What can i do to fix this as this is greyed out on my declaration so it is a system generated total.

    Thank you.
    Lauren

    Hey Lauren

It might be worth opening the import file first and seeing if the values for each employee is actually correct.

My thought was - are you looking at the right line?
Or alternatively, are you looking at the line that says what you owe after the reconciliation? (In which case owing zero is exactly what you want )

What has changed from previous years is that not only is the EMP201 data imported from SARS, so are the payments actually made (which is something that didn't happen in the past). E@syfile is also not rounding off to the nearest Rand anymore (which was another source of trivial, but irritating differences in balance).

Taken together, it means that if you did everything right during the year, you can import your payroll program data, import the SARS data, and everything balances down to the last cent. All you have to do is submit the EP501 return...
