TAX TYPE REPORT FOR MONTH OUT OF REPORTING PERIOD

Our company's VAT return is every second month and the tax reporting is set up like that.
However, the year end falls in the middle of one of these reporting periods.
My last VAT period was March/April 2023, but year end is March 2023.
The auditors require a tax type report for March 2023. How do I extract it using Pastel Xpress V14?

    Hi Animor,
Goto View / General Ledger / Transactions / Detailed Ledger /

Select your VAT control account and print out for March 23 to March 23

You can do the same using "Ledger by Entry Type" if you want a breakdown of the different tax types for that Month. (Send to excel and then sort.)

Get all users out. Make a Backup.
    Go to Help - About
When the "About Xpress" picture comes up showing you license keys, Hold Ctrl Alt and press t - you will get a message saying "Printing old tax box reports".
Go View - General ledger - Tax reports. You will find you can now select your tax period for March 23 and select 1 month below it. That should give you the information you are looking for.
Once finished, either exit Pastel, or go back to Help - About and Ctrl Alt t again - message will show printing new tax reports, and you can carry on.

If that doesn't work for you, go into change - clear tax manager settings. Then setup - tax - tax manager. Change your reporting period to every month. Run you report and close off all periods till March 23 and then print your "Current Month" report.
Once done, restore from the backup to keep all your original settings and closed periods.
