    3phase pump nameplate

    Can someone please explain to me on a 3phase grundfos waterpump nameplate what does mei and np% stands for?

    MEI - Minimum efficiency Index - It has to do with the efficiency of the impeller to deliver water at certain heights

    np% - the n has a long side to the n and stands for efficiency - It would indicate the motor power efficiency in % and is often rated at different loads

    The above is my understanding from an electrical side and I am no expert in the mechanical side of pumps

    Thanks GCE for responding so rapidly.I have searched for 2days for this info on this motor and you made it very easy for me.
