You need a firmaware upgrade for your Susnynk inverter, its a quick message on a whattsapp group and in less than 30 minutes, you have the latest firmaware.
However a battery firmaware upgrade is proving to be a real challenge.
Lets see how this plays out. It has been weeks of frustration, messages, emails and call to the to Sunsynk technical in the UK.
Sunsynk IP 65 batteries cannot get a firmware upgrade remotely, it must be sent to Sunsynk.
A 5.3 kwh battery on the other hand can be remotely upgraded.
Just to correct a statement, you cannot remotely upgrade the firmaware for a 5.3 kwh Sunsynk battery,
It has to be done on site, using a cable linked to a laptop.
Living and learning, it is a smart idea to belong to the gorup which has the people to do the firmware update. From today all new units (both inverters and 5.3 kwh batteries, not IP 65 5.1 kwh batteires) will get a fimware upgrade while the unit is being setup in the workshop, it just saves time trying to do it on site or a return visit to site.
