    Conductors and insulators.

    One for the scientific toppies.

Is there a correlation between electrical isolation and thermal insulation ?

Ie: If something is a good electrical isolator, can it be said that it will also be a good thermal insulator ?

Yes but also No. Depends on the material used for the thermal isolation.

Silver backed paper may be a good thermal insulator, but the silver will conduct electricity.

Carbon can conduct electricity well, but is not a particularly good conductor of heat.
