Why a valid initial COC is so important

Neutral/earth bonding and why I started this topic.

If we are all going to point fingers, the AIA are threatening, but yet to see a court case, or reports in the media of pending court case which will actually end up with a conviction, the customer is not prepared to create a safe environment for their family and children, but happy for each family member to blow R15-30k on a cellphones, how could we expect anything in the elctrical industry to improve, then whine about the cost to make the installation safe.

A customer purchases a property and we all know that the COC is just another money making racket with very few actually worth the paper they are written on. Who cares ... the property is covered by insurance so long as you have the piece of paper.

So why would I waste my time making a big deal about it, simple because in some cases you become the sucker who will end up with the customer. The smart customers might give you the go ahead to fix the no compliant issues.

What is the big deal, if the customer cannot provide a valid compliant COC or not prepared to fix the non compliant issues , then you as the electrical contractor you are faced with a situation that might one day get you into a lot of trouble, especially if someone on the site is injured or there is a fire.

Why mention the neutral earth bond, because if the COC is valid, the neutral/earth bond would be clearly identified with a label, at each DB on site connected to the electrical installation which is effected by the bond.

Why this is so important because it seems that if there is any leakage current some where in the installation it becomes a huge problem.

Please free to correct me if you can prove otherwise.
