Just when you think you have enough on your plate, dealing with a tankless water heater installed in a shower cubicle pops up.
Some history, the property has a COC from when it was purchased a couple years ago (more than 2) and this shower was part of the COC.
I have to make a choice, do I attach the old COC to the new COC and fill out the test report.
OR do I do it right and sort out the tankless/instant water heater in the shower cubicle.
How do you make it safe, its has no IP rating and the gland doesnt even secure the cable (which also makes it non compliant).
The unit is on earth leakage and has the correct size cable (4mm, less than 30 amps).
Just get a plumber to remove it and fit a small geyser on the wall outside the room, redirect the cable to a weather proof isolator and connect the geyser, or replace with gas![]()
Any other suggestions?
