Buying solar products without technical support.

Do you feel that if a company selling a product they should have some form of technical support, you going to say but we cant offer support for every DIY project being done, then why are you selling directly to the public if you dont have a call centre or technical support department.

An example: I purchased a VSD from a company and when I am ready to commission, the company who supplied the drive, has a person who I contact and they guide me through the parameter setup process. I cant remember every single setting on every single device I install, however I support companies who offer technical support for their products.

The same with my alarm and CCTV systems we install, the company which supplies my systems has a call centre with any technical issue or commissioning queries.

    More important brand specific support.

I ONLY use suppliers where I get technical backup. When I do electric fencing or a complex gate motor installation I consult and get their specification in writing. It's saved my @ss
