    Solar systems and support

I have been testing the waters with regards to technical support in an attempt to find a supplier who has a little more technical knowledge than the general solar/inverter/battery check list.

The only company I have dealt with that has responded within 48 hours or has a technical support who seems to be on the ball is Art solar.

I called this company to test them like I have done with many other suppliers and manufacturers.

I called and let the phone ring until it went off, I put down the phone and thought the same ol same ol. To my surprise not even a minute later my phone rang, I answered and it was a lady from Art solar, I requested to speak to a technical person with regards to a 5kva inverter installation, she indicated that she could assist. Every questions I asked was answered.

I give the women at Art solar the customer satisfaction award for the best technical support for 2022 so far.

The guys at Victron were also pretty sharp and the person I spoke to also had a solid background on their product.

I would like to hear any good feedback about companies you have dealt with. Lets try stick to good feedback.

That is great to hear !

Funny I was thinking last night how much I am struggling to chat to an actual person on questions.

Need to quote for a factory and need more info on the roof mounting system and thinking where do I even go !

With that I order from Segen. My tech guy not so clued up and never answers but when I message the chat I get a call back the next day. He is able to though get to the better tech guys when needed so I go with a 5 of 10 on technical.

How ever everything else I give them a 9. Just wish I could go in and sometime chat to a consultant but I have not tried in awhile so maybe I can now.

With Solar I see people keep there secrets and don't want to share knowledge...

I still struggle with the Sunsync time setting of things and struggle to get a solid How To haha

Makes me think of Taylor and McDonalds ice cream machines. The less the user knows, the more money in my pocket syndrome.

100% ! The less installers means more for me...

If possible anyone know what the best mounting system i.e brackets to use on this form of roofing of a factory ?

I assume made of metal but too high for me to confirm.

I assume we use some form of tek screw or roofing screw with the rubber to mount a bracket on a metal beam but I am not sure. Click image for larger version.

    Try a company called Valsa
I usually get my mounting system from them. They have for all types of roofs
