    Twin + e 2,5 mm price

    Prices including vat

    Builder price R25 per metre

    Local wholesaler :

    1 = R18.90

    2 = R23.35

    and we complaining about the fuel price

    That's a R445 price difference

    I thought the salesman was ripping me off ... so I contacted another branch ... same price.

    Copper prices have gone through the roof.
    PC Board prices have shot up as well, since they are claded by a copper surface.

    I just got a price of R865 for a coil 100 m of 2.5 mm twin+e (free delivery in JHB) apparently it is not copper ... then the guys offers a price of R1685 (100m) it is tinned copper but her cant offer SANS approval ... SANS approved twin+e is more expensive.

    A simple question how do you know if the wire being installed on your property is SANS approved ?

    How do we know if any product is SANS approved. Its just a logo...

    So with that said I will check the packing and product and I also buy from reputable places and brands. However there is only so much I can do and I like to think the suppliers I use get the real macoy aswell.

    But back to cable... its so expensive and when you add the markup the client thinks you taking them for a ride...

    Hello Brother

    I think you might have meant SABS approved.
    The product does not need to have the SABS Approved logo on it to be approved.

    It can either have the logo OR the seller must be able to provide a Letter of Authority for the said item.

    Peace out ... Derek

    ALL conduit bought anywhere in the Transkei, cannot be bent. It cracks. Hard plastic. Cheap Chinese junk.

    The conduit we getting is still kiff. Bend a lot, no problem.
