Cheerful Morning Live presenter Leanne Manas has not been back on show since being robbed last week.
On the first day absent from the show, co-host Vuyo Mbuli explained that she had been robbed at home by for four men and had lost some jewelry.
Searching for news this morning, I found this report at The Citizen. But there are a few things that don't sit well with me.
The seeming irrepressible Leanne Manas still not back at work nearly a week later?Manas untied herself and locked herself in her bathroom.
When her parents were unable to contact her on her phone, they became concerned and drove to her home, to find her in the bathroom.
No shots were fired, and, according to the police report, Manas was not physically harmed.
Leanne, may you get over this incident soon.
EDIT: Just reading this story on IOL about a woman who was not so lucky to survive her ordeal.
Sorry - I'm feeling really sick right now.Odendaal is believed to have been attacked by her killers, who were armed with an assortment of weapons, including a screwdriver, when she surprised them as they were ransacking her home.
The men are believed to have tortured her before sexually assaulting her.
Neighbours and police said it seemed as if the attackers were fleeing through the garden when Odendaal, who had been left for dead, managed to raise the alarm.
This apparently prompted her attackers to return.
It seems they then killed Odendaal. Police at the scene could not say whether she had been shot or stabbed.
