    Nope.

Spend money on something unknown to get "free" data?

You really need to rethink the question.

Depends on the product, but I wouldn't buy a product to get free data...

Everyone is jumping the gun a bit
Many people buy a Macdonalds burger and enjoy free wifi. The burger is awful and very bad for you but the brand is known.

so it helps if you could elaborate a bit on what it is that you're selling.
I would, for example, buy a net set of Jeans from CompanyB if they give me a free wifi voucher instead of CompanyA - if that it what you wanted to know.

But then I need to ask, what is in-it for the store owner? Services, like restaurants / hotels / etc would benefit out of the repeat business, i.e. you buy more coffee or another burger. But a clothing store will probably not benefit as much.

I often choose coffee shops with free Wifi over those without it.
