    Jeez Dave, I do understand your predicament and totally agree that "office politics" can be a real time waster. I think you handled the situation exceptionally well - for me: I would call her in and give a one of 2 choices: either give me your resignation or a suiside note....

    Wow Dave what patience I totally agree with Eugene - short and sweet. We had 1 of those and she eventually resigned. After the negativity had gone a new star was born. this negative vibe had smothered a worker into a ...., well, at times she was called up for her lack of work ethic. Once the drama queen left, this worker was amazing (where it came from who knows) She is now handling a department on her own.
