    Unfortunately, you are not allowed to increase the input. If you phone SARS all they tell you is that you need to claim the input in the next period.

    It doesn't really matter if it is the original return of a correction, if there is a refund SARS will more than likely ask for supporting docs.

    Out of curiosity, do they allow you to decrease the input claim?

    They allow you to increase and decrease the output, but only to decrease the input
