I have just had two Power Heads for my fish tank delivered from Amazon only to discover that they are rated 120 volts.
Have I wasted R600 ?

You HAVE TO buy a suitable transformer otherwise your device will blow up!
That said, suitable transformers are available so it is not really a big deal. I actually have one because one of my printers was only ever manufactured to run on 120V
Yep not a problem - a transformer will do the trick
Another delay. The converter I have just bought has an unusual looking input socket and the wave maker plug does not fit.
It has a two pin socket, one plat the other more round. I hope there is a suitable plug available. More running around.
I just discovered that the wave maker/power heads are rated at 120v and the converter 110v. Will this be a problem?

You need a simple transformer that brings down 220vAC current to 120V AC current. What is the converter for ??
Ja but then he mentions "wave maker" .........
