    Question Incorrect bank account

    Hi
Before the holiday I quickly wanted to do my cashbook receipts. I accidentally used the incorrect bank account number (I have 3 different bank accounts) when I updated (luckily only receipts). How do I correct it so that it shows in the bank reconciliation? When I do an entry in the deposit journal to correct it, it says that it will not show in my bank reconciliation.
    Thank you in advance.
    B

Hi BLR. Make a backup so that you can restore and try again if you don't get this right first time.

Enter the incorrect entry exactly as before (same wrong cash book, date, receipts etc) but make the entry a minus figure. Then reconcile and update. That should correct the error. Now enter the correct details into the correct cash book.
