A person has been working at a privately owned retail store for 2 years and being paid on a monthly basis. No existing working contract.
This person and the owner had a disagreement on work ethics and after the christmas break, the owner sent this person an email and said do not return to work today, I will come and talk to you at your house later on.
This person tendered their resignation immediately and as this person still had 14 days annual leave due to them, used this annual leave as notice period. This was obviously accepted by the employer as no further communication was received from him.
Is this person still owed a salary for this notice period?
