Excellence is not a skill; its an attitude...
I dont suffer from CUD, but I think I suffer THD(tech hoarding Disorder) . If I see some old computer or laptop, I just have to have it, I paid the price of a brand new laptop for an old Macintosh G3. I prefer to see what I can do with old technology, how I can make it work for me. More and more I am finding that the new tech items are taking away our ability to manipulate them. First they took away the floppy, and now I see on the ipad one cant even plug in a flash drive. I see the need for upgrades, but not the need for upgrades at users expense. In this day and age the brand makers are in a hurry to send product to market even it is not working the best, I guess to take advantage of those suffering from CUD. The user ends up paying internet time for firmware upgrades and bug fixes. Give the new model a year in the market and then buy it, it will be cheaper and most of the bugs will be sorted out.
