I'd like to add that to sustain the business you have to put so much more effort into customer service.
After all, the purpose of a business is to create a customer. Why? Because the customer is your source of income!
If you do not have a customer to buy your product or service, you don't have a business.
I believe that the marketing guru, Peter Drucker, hit the nail on the head when he said that,
"Because the purpose of a business is to create a customer, the business enterprise has two - and only two basic functions;
Marketing and Innovation."
Marketing gets your message across and attracts customers, while innovation is adapting to customers needs and expectations.
Marketing and innovation produce results; all the rest are costs.
