    Insensitive marketing?

I just got this sms spam -

View all Standard Bank repossessed vehicles on online auction.
    That's quite progressive

    Now that's just plain cruel!

Couldn't they have come up with a better name for the website?

    That is pretty cruel.

I've seen worse marketing approaches though (from clothing retailers in particular) - their SMS's typically read something along the lines of "BIG SPECIALS!!! Wnt 2 save money??? Buy B4 tmmrw!!!"

Everyone does not have the ability to come up with a unique idea or a name so they don’t have to.
There Idea is unique(as far as I concern) But Domain name is blab la bla.

SMS spam is the one thing I hate, seriously HATE. Now it is not so much the bad spelling or the insensitivity as such.

    Rather the timing!

While blissfully asleep my phone will wake me at 2:00 AM in the morning, behold someone wants to give me an insurance quote…

Blocking these numbers just became a tedious none winning battle between me and MTN will not help .

I actually phoned MTN at 2:00 AM in the morning and asked them if they will pay me overtime?

    lol hehehehe....

I just had a brainwave, I wonder if it is possible to reverse charges on a SMS… Meaning if someone SMS me at 2:00 AM in the morning that person get charged R4… With all the spam I am getting I will be able to get a second income if that was at all possible…

Good idea tecO. Let's spam Vodacom and MTN. Better still, get the cell numbers of their executives and spam all of them!

I am a bad sleeper, so I have programmed my phone to switch off at 10pm and switch on at 6am. If it is an emergency, you can reach me on the land line. Peaceful sleep.
