    Makes me wonder , if you signup for the Transunion ITC credit check notification thing .... what can they really do if someone steals your ID and applies for credit with your details???

    That's a bit like being notified when someone logs into your online banking profile and it wasn't you - at least you can start making phonecalls...

    I tried that once .... as far as I recall I didn't get very far at all, you do get a phone number and a name who is requesting the data though. I suppose if you called them you may beable to find out whats going on.

    Alot of the times people doing credit checks enter your details in incorrectly, the details they use appears on your profile as history of names, phone numbers and addresses you've used. I've never had luck having that fixed.
