Normally the problem is you're not using the latest version of E@syfile. If you're not using the latest version, I've found that SARS's servers will not accept the connection request.
However, if you are using the latest version and suspect a proxy server is blocking the communication, either:
- Connect the PC directly to the internet without using the proxy, or
- Backup the database using the E@syfile backup utility, install E@syfile on a PC that you will be able to use to connect directly to the internet, restore the backup onto the new machine, and try to run the part of the app you're having trouble with.
If it works without the proxy server in the mix, then perhaps pursuing the proxy server settings might have merit.
I must say I haven't had problems with my proxy server set-up, but it's all about the proxy server settings (which could become a pretty complex discussion).
