    HOW TO CAPTURE CREDIT CARD ON PASTEL

    im failing to understand the logic behind,im using Pastel Express.what i did is i have captured all the expense and i have allocated them to Directors allowance( private use),and when i reconcile expenses they balance to the balance brought forward instead of the closing balance.please help and explain...

    did you capture it in a journal or cashbook?

    did you update the batch?

    i have captured them to Cashbook and its not updated

    If the batch is not updated then it will only reconcile with the bank reconciliation.

    But if you look at the trial balance/balance sheet it will still have the opening balance. You will have to update the batch first in order to see the new balance.
