this email is doing it s rounds today...with a picture of a fella rubbing out information on papers...must say it got me thinking when they arrived and filled out the form in pencil...WTF.
maybe it a warm up to 2012 electtions to see how gulible we actually are...i hear the cross will also be done in pencil next year.
as with elections, the results have aready been calculated, the actual filling in of forms / voting papers etc. is nothing more than administrative formality to quell the fears of the "electorate"

I'm sorry I dont agree with this ......... we do still live in a democratic country - we have our problems that we are all aware of. With the numbers in this country why would we "jippo" the votes - last election was obvious who was going to win ........ maybe next election will be different. This is a very negative outlook.
That is BS actually, no legal document can be considered legal if filled out in pencil
Also I didn't remember sinning anything so basically the document is inconclusive and I will deny any information on it regardless of its accuracy.
I also had the pencil problem , but at the end of the day they are just counting you and no personal information needs to be put down and you dont sign it either.
I'm not sure what the fuss is about. Why would they want to jippo the results? They use this census for their own planning. If they don't want reliable info why even hold the census in the first place.
They ask very simple questions for information that they mostly already have access to when considering urban, employed, legal citizens. I would imagine that most of the important info they wish to get is from the rural and poorer communities. There was nothing new or secret I had to provide.
The eraser was used repeatedly in my case due to minor errors, such as the wrong block ticked or the wrong row or column used. Nothing sinister at all.
