    VIP's in EC

The Amathola District Municipality awarded a R600million contract to build 60.000 VIP toilets (improved ventilated pit latrines)
Not surprisingly the contract was awarded in questionable circumstances to a company allegedly owned by Zumas son in law, Mantashes wife and son and Minister Zulu's son. (The public protector has stated that they will investigate)
Now the sums work out to about R9,500.oo per toilet.
I sell the units at R3,000. for the top structure delivered and estimate that the hole which must be lined should cost no more than R2,500 labour and materials etc. giving a total of R5,500.oo each.
If I was building over 60,000 VIP's I am sure I could get the cost down considerably (probably to about R4500.oo ea)

The laugh happened over the Easter weekend when we had excessive rain for the season and the lack of lining in the pits resulted in most of the VIP's collapsing into the pits. LOL

The eastern cape guys are slow they haven't even doubled your cost.
Isn't there an opportunity to sell those structures to the people?
Only stress when you can change the outcome!

Nope, I don't manufacture them and the manufacturer is dealing direct.

What I find alarming, is it is more important to remove a 80 year old statue, than addressing the poor quality workmanship provided by one of the allianced elite.
