We did the installation today and are testing how it perform. I am not quite sure how to see the effect when we change the setting on the PVR's. So they are both at factory default still. The pump kick in on two bar and switch off at 3 bar. (On the meter on the house side) The other meter reading is 3bar and 5bar respectively.

Apart from tidying the whole thing up, what is to be done?

Who's been a busy boy then . It's looking good, in fact it's looking better than many of the 'professional' irrigation type installs I've come across.

Setting up the PRV's can get a little tricky especially if you don't have a pressure gauge on the council supply side and a shut-off valve on the house supply pipe after the PRV. The PRV's do have a small plastic blanking plug in the side which can be removed and you can screw in a gauge for testing purposes but to be honest if the system works as it is and you've got good constant pressure at the house I wouldn't mess with it. The pump in and out settings also sound fine at 2 and 3 bar. The 1 bar differential should be plenty if there's 0.5-1 bar air pressure in the diaphragm tank (without it being under any water pressure) it should give the system a good reservior. The important thing is that the pump should not be cycling on and off quickly which causes a lot of wear and tear on it.

Just for reference if you want to play with settings, if you screw the adjuster on the PRV clockwise (inward) it should increase the pressure setting, anti clockwise to decrease pressure.
