I have been looking for work for a couple of months now and every time I email my CV to the recruitment company for work, I wil get a email stating I must fax a cover letter, 3 page CV all relevant documents and a photo. I have already send the email with all the details, why must I fax it again , Is it to make money out of all the faxes they receive. I there anybody thats in recruitment that can explain this to me
My wife has a recruitment agency - she also requests you fax a 3 page cv. From talking to her I gather that because she has a lot of people looking for jobs, the 3 page cv and the photograph are then punched/scanned into a database programme that she has linked to their computers. When they are then looking for people with those qualifications/criteria the computer links the two together - if suitable she then calls you in for an interview. Somewhere along the line she also does a credit check and a criminal check on the candidate. No she does not make money out of the faxes sent. Perhaps that company that does not accept the e mails - their programme can only pick up the info from the scanned fax !
Thanks for the info. Wil your wife be able to assist me, as I need to move back to the Vaal triangle, and it is not always possible for me to fly to jhb just for 1 interview.
Any advise will be appreciated
i am looking for any admin work. Previous exp. 14 years in accounts payable and 7 years co owner in beauty salon.
But I need to move back to the Vaal triangle asap.
I can only say that you should e mail her your cv. If she has anything suitable and you have the qualifications, she will get hold of you. Send me a pm and I will send you her e mail address.
pm is personal (or private) message. PM's are sent between members but are not visible to any other members and sometimes more importantly not visible to spammers, bots and crawlers.
