Yesterday must have been pretty tough if you were a Sri Lankan or England supporter. Down to the last ball.

Amazing what a difference watching a neutral match makes. It was hard to decide what was more entertaining - the play on the field or the England fans during the last two overs.

I just finished watching the highlights after reading about the result online!

I don't know why SABC3 are not showing all the super 8 games — they showed a game everyday during the pool games, but now that the exciting stuff is happening.... Would have loved to watch it live, or at least the last ten overs

        No comment on Saturday's game....

But I did enjoy last night Hopefully this coming Saturday will go well, but New Zealand are looking very dangerous at the moment.

I reckon we can beat them. All depends which team turns up on the day.

Yes—we beat them when they were here. It seems like Ian Flemming is Graeme Smith's nemesis (at least, they don't seem to like each other very much), so I'm sure Smiffy will be looking to win a grudge match as well as a more secure place for the finals.

I'm confident that we can make it to the next round—from there it depends on which team is the better one on the day. Still a little bit concerned that we've only been able to bowl one team out in the entire series.

Does ANYONE understand how the nett run rate is calculated????

My understanding, from what I had heard on TV, is that the run rates are subtracted from each other, and then averaged over matches.

Now, here is what I don't understand....England had a nett run rate of -0.06 before last nights game. Their run rate was 3.28, and Bangladesh's was 3.83. The latest scoreboard reflects England's nett run rate to be +0.08....surely it should have gone down?

Don't worry, my averaging is up to sh1t. You have to have all the games nett run rates to calculate the average nett run rate correctly....

Can I offer you another cup of coffee?

For me, the heavy gears only kick in a couple of hours after waking up.

Well. A sound thrashing of England and cause to celebrate.
Clearly our lads were none the worse for wear after their tipple the other night.

                      Semi-final time coming up.

Pretty safe to say Sri Lanka is in the final now.

New Zealand has now played in 5 semi-finals and lost all of them Ag shame.

Well, this thread has sure died down.

South Africa almost had it, and then, ... (Replay every previous cricket world cup)

                          Oh Well, maybe the rugby.

Ja boet. On Saturday we can all relax and watch the game without getting our knickers in a twist.
