Well it seems like mother nature has it in for Natal at the moment, last night our Coast lines were pounded by 7m swells and the damage this morning was devastating. Thats the good news apparantly its not over yet and the high tide this afternoon is going to be worse with the worst still to come in the AM tomorrow. The general feeling is most of the beach front properties may be gone or seriously damaged by tomorrow. This is been driven by the equinox and high wind conditions. Here are some pics of the beach front in Ballito.

There used to be quite a nice beach in front of the lifesavers hut there. It looks like the water's edge has been pushed back 20 metres plus.

Won't be long before some estate agent wag advertises such a property as follows:

"Bargain! going cheap! Great investment! Buy storm damaged coastal property. View in Port Shepstone (what's left of the property), take transfer when the property gets to Umhlanga and rent it out at Ballito!"

LOL at Seig, okay basically all thats left is to take stock of whats left. Walking along the beach front this morning it was actually a stunning day but so very quite, we are busy installing security lights at one of the complexes to stop the looting. But here is what is left after last night.
