Sitting - Bad for your Health

I'm a big fan of the Art of Manliness - a website dedicated to 'reviving the lost of manliness'. It is also an awesome online community.

One of their recent articles claims that excessive sitting is bad for your health. As a programmer, that does not bode well for me.

On a side note, it might be an excellent business opportunity for the carpenters among us.

If you really want to keep healthy, you may as well finish the job properly - slap a treadmill under the standing desk.

That would be a great way to 'run' your company!

being a laptop junkie (internet marketer), i sit a lot...

and i have found that the problem lies not so much with sitting down...

as it does with not getting up regularly to get the circulation going.

we tend to get stuck into out work, and forget that hours pass since we last moved a little - and that is NOT good...

          learnt my lesson, though.
