Upgrade on Cellphone Contract

Just curious has anyone upgraded there Vodacom contract recently and did they get a good at least decent deal?

I am on a talk 120 package and the deals being offered to me are ridiculous via the call center. As an example i was offered the HTC wildfire at a pay in of R360 on a R300 a month package when they have it on special for R99 per month on a weekender?

How does this work? The deals are so bad that from my quick calculations i rather down grade to a much cheaper package special and get a better phone!!!!

Seems like the lower end of the contracts market is definitely getting better deals!

That looks fine if you're only making calls on the weekend. What are calls made during business hours charged at?

And when it comes to upgrades and renewals on Vodacom contracts, my experience is forget the Vodacom call center or Vodashops - go to Makro.
