    Thorium not Uranium

There are some interesting blogs on 'newstime' about why Governments are not exploring the use of 'Thorium' instead of 'Uranium' for nuclear energy.

It is a lot safer, cleaner, more efficient, and much much more available worldwide than Uranium.

Problem is you can't make bombs with Thorium, is this the only reason, otherwise the technology is more or less the same.

The links provide a very interesting subject, and apart from the bomb thingy, the question still remains as to why the major powers are not looking at this in a very serious way. ( India though, is doing so. )

Thorium seems to be the fuel of the future. Just think about this:
"there is enough thorium in the United States alone to power the country at its current energy level for over 1,000 years."
    This is mind boggling !
