Are you on Google Street View?

Google recently launched "Street view" - http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/help/maps/streetview/ which is basically a full 3D view of everything viewable in the street. I've seen the car drive through out neighborhood a few times in August and it was rather interesting to see what they see. I checked out our house, and a few other places I could think of, but nothing was as interesting as this one:

There is a bit of Photoshopping, look at the dogs butt. I bet the guy isn't naked, it looks to me as if he is washing his car and that he is lazily wiping the boot sill.

This thread opens up a number of interesting questions:

1. How much Photoshopping actually does go on on Google Street View and who authorizes it?
2. How does one have sensitive images removed?

I read in the latest Popular Mechanics that new software has been developed to "remove" images of people from the Google street views and the removed image gets replaced by an image immediately before the image of the person is detected. Wow ! ( Sure it is not going to detect a naked guy in a car trunk ! )
This now raised another question.....the guy is carrying a huge box, do you now see the box floating in mid air and the dog on a leash walking with the leash pointing skywards ? Scary !

There's quite a bit of editing that goes on before the streetview images are published by Google already. For example, vehicle registration numbers get blurred out.

You can also ask Google to remove sensitive images.
